Ivo Weinhardt

 

Ivo Weinhardt was born 1976 in Heidelberg, Germany. From 1996 to 2002 he studied at the TU Karlsruhe and at the Accademia di Architettura in Mendrisio with a degree in Architecture USI AAM / SIA / CAS in Peter Zumthor's diploma class.

 

Working for Hans-Jörg Ruch in St. Moritz, in 2003 he realized the «Snow Module Pavilion» on the occasion of the World Ski Championships in the Engadine, with which he had won as student together with Jan Christoph Herbert the 1st prize in the competition of the Eternit AG Niederurnen in 2001. From 2004 to 2006 he was employed by Küchel Architects in St. Moritz and was involved in the work on Norman Foster's «Chesa Futura». He also won the competitions Neubau Cedes AG and the pedestrian bridge in St. Moritz, both of which were realized and awarded with the 1st prize.

 

In 2006 Ivo Weinhardt joined Fischer Architekten AG and has been a member of the management and co-shareholder since 2014. Until the end of 2016, he headed the construction / execution planning area together with Timo Allemann. Between 2012 and 2013 Ivo Weinhardt completed part-time the CAS course for corporate management at the ETH. 2017 founding of the architecture office hwa Architekten AG in Zurich together with Roland Hinzer.
