The «Neue Alpenrose» project, the latest addition to the world-famous Badrutt's Palace Hotel in St. Moritz, is entering the next construction phase. The building that had previously been there was demolished and the land and houses behind it were solidly secured in the mountain. Now the excavation of the construction pit for the six-storey new building can begin. The «Neue Alpenrose» will have 28 guest rooms and 45 underground parking spaces. The new building will be connected to the existing hotel with an underground shopping arcade. There will then be an underground connection from the new outbuilding to the Chesa Veglia restaurant in the center of St. Moritz. hwa Architects are the local architect, the design and building plans come from an Italian architecture firm.
