The prestigious hotel, also known as a former meeting place for celebrities, opened in the summer of 2022 after a nine-month renovation phase under the name FIVE Zurich, with local Swiss artists involved in several projects in the design of the interiors.
The original facade of the ypsilon-shaped building is retained and, with its negative print, is intended to reflect the concrete character of post-war modernism, but now with the integration of the latest thermal technology. The entrance is framed by a 14 meter high alphorn sculpture by the artist Franz Koster. The heart of the transparent atrium is again the staircase, which is extended by three floors and creates a special ambience thanks to a light-flooded roof dome. A 43m2 portrait composition by the Zurich street artist REDL in the entrance area is reminiscent of the former famous guests of the Atlantis and thus gives FIVE Zurich an artistic entrance as a new lifestyle destination.

The new FIVE Zurich combines art, gastronomy and ambient music under one roof as a destination for new guests, whether from the city or from around the world. This is what has been offered to guests since July 2022: 7 international restaurants, the penthouse with restaurants, lounge, terrace and nightclub, outdoor pool with bar, spa and indoor pool. In addition, as a homage to the Swiss roots, the hotel is decorated with numerous works that were created in collaboration with local artists from the region. The fact that art, music and fashion are an integral part of the DNA of the new 5-star luxury hotel is also evident in the rooms, which are decorated with works of art by students from the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).

The Hotel Five Guesthouse has been bookable since the end of 2022. It offers exclusive guest rooms with modern bathrooms, a playroom and a kitchen for self-catering, as well as a large lounge for relaxation and conversation. Overall, everything is more private without a large hotel operation.
