Roland Hinzer

Roland Hinzer was born in Riedholz, SO, Witherland, in 1964. He moved to the Upper Engadine at an early age, where after six years of working with the architects J. Troxler and W. Wichser, he started his own business at the age of 36 and founded Hinzer Architektur und Baumanagement in 2001 in Champfèr. He has been CEO of Hinzer Architektur AG since 2012. Over the years in the Engadine, he has held various administrative mandates and public offices, including as a municipal executive of Pontresina.

In 2017 he founded in Zurich together with Ivo Weinhardt the architectural office hwa Architekten AG. In addition to many individual new buildings, conversions and sensitive refurbishments of old building stock, both for private clients as well as for hotel and restaurant businesses, Roland Hinzer is also specialized in the latest building technology and heat insulation. He acquired a special qualification for this in earlier courses at the engineering schools in Bern as a civil engineer HTL and Chur in building physics and energy / building technology.
